Kamehameha Schools Maui haumana Hezekiah Kapua‘ala recently joined Hawaii News Now to share his experience of being a senior during the pandemic and was surprised with a giant check for a year of free tuition at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, courtesy of the UH Federal Credit Union! HNN reporter Billy V announced that the senior was named the winner of the “Take me to Mānoa” social media contest hosted by the station. Kapua‘ala plans to study video production at the university and was invited by Billy V to look the station up after earning his degree.
