KS Maui haumāna shine at WIPCE

November 30, 2022

Five KS Maui haumāna traveled to the World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education in Australia to present their story-sharing project before indigenous students and educators from across the globe. The KSM contingent shared moʻolelo from Mary Kawena Pukui’s classic “He Mau Ka‘ao Hawai‘i: Folktales of Hawai‘i” via podcasts, text messages and even live weekly readings. See their impressions of the conference and learn about their project.
