On Sunday, Oregon football released a video thatʻs now gone viral, recognizing the hard work and perseverance of KSK ʻ15 alum Kaulana Apelu. In the video, UO coach Willie Taggart sets Apelu up for a drill, then calls practice to a halt for Apelu to watch a special message on the stadiumʻs video board. Then a video of Apeluʻs mom, Mahina Assily, plays and she tells her son, who was a walk-on, that he had been awarded with a scholarship for the for the 2017-18 academic year.
