As Hōkūleʻa sailed into Hilo earlier this week for Merrie Monarch, the crew from the historic 1976 voyage to Tahiti visited the Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi campus to talk-story with haumāna and share their ʻike learned from participating in such a significant event in Hawaiian history.
Kamehameha Schools’ policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
