Coding and cultural exchange with South Korean students

January 24, 2018

A Hawaii News Now report on a special coding and cultural exchange with students from South Korea that happened at KS Kapālama on Jan. 23, 2018. A contingent of five students from South Korea spent the past five days sharing what they know about Altino coding with Hawaiʻi educators and students. Their engagement at KSK was an opportunity for them to share more about coding with middle and elementary students and for our students to share more about Hawaiʻi with these special guests. The visit was a part of a larger partnership between Kamehameha Schools and Oceanit, designed to increase opportunities for coding education in Hawaiʻi, not just at KS campuses, but in classrooms and educational spaces across the state.
