‘Āina-based Education

October 3, 2019

ʻĀina-based education (ABED) is about deepening our kinship with the ʻāina so people, communities, and lands thrive. Raising youth who help heal, protect and restore ‘āina will be our greatest asset and Hawaiʻi’s competitive advantage. Together with the Hawaiʻi Leadership Forum, Hauʻoli Mau Loa Foundation, Consuelo Foundation, and the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation, we brought together community members and educators from across the state to listen to their experiences, and led to the development of an ABED Systems Map that explores how ABED is making a difference. Learn more about the power and promise of ʻāina-based education at http://www.ainaeducation.com.
