2017 Wai’anae Coast Keiki Spring Fest

Nearly 1,000 community members, collaborators and volunteers took part in the 12th Annual Wai‘anae Coast Keiki Spring Fest on Friday, April 7, at Wai‘anae District Park. The Kamehameha Schools-sponsored event connects Waiʻanae Coast keiki and their parents with educational, developmental, and health service providers in their community.The free family fest featured activities for parents and their keiki up to five years old. Parents received information on financial aid, and their keiki had the opportunity to receive hearing and vision screenings and photo I.D. cards. Attendees also won door prizes and took part in interactive displays and presentations, including a bookmobile and demonstrations by the Honolulu Fire Department.Kamehameha Schools is working with community partners to create an environment so Native Hawaiian learners can thrive.
