Tri-Campus Deputation Team Retreat

September 11, 2019

Deputation Team students from all three Kamehameha campuses recently converged on Hawaiʻi island to join together in the spirit of Jesus Christ, for a weekend of worship and exploration. KS Maui Kahu Kalani Wong, KS Kapālama Hope Kahu Barret Awai, KS Hawai‘i Kahu Kaunaloa Boshard and their Christian Education teams took haumāna on a spiritual and physical huakaʻi to important geographical sites related to Henry ʻŌpūkahaʻia, one of the first Native Hawaiians to become a Christian. The biannual retreat culminated with a worship service at KS Hawai‘i’s Lunalilo Hale. “Although we were exhausted physically, we were all transformed spiritually to a place of sweet devotion and joy,” said Kahu Boshard. “God’s mighty and sovereign hand lifted us all and set our feet upon the Rock, who is Jesus! Praise Jesus!”
