97th Annual KS Song Contest

April 10, 2017

The 97th Annual Kamehameha Schools Song Contest paid tribute to Hawaiian music composer Bina Mossman, a Renaissance woman and a role model for future generations of young Hawaiian leaders. Mossman perpetuated the Hawaiian culture through her compositions and the performances of her Girls Glee Club. She also served the community through her activities in the Republican Party where she advocated strongly for the rights of women and children. Read more about Song Contest in the I Mua Newsroom story or visit the Song Contest website.

Mahalo to KS Photographer Michael Young for capturing the excitement and pageantry of the event in photos. This is Young's last Song Contest. He will be retiring this June after more than 28 years of service to Kamehameha Schools.
