Wai‘anae Coast Keiki Spring Fest Celebrates Community

April 20, 2016

The 11th Annual Wai‘anae Coast Keiki Spring Fest took place on April 15 with approximately 250 families in attendance (476 keiki and 410 adults). The free event connected area keiki and their parents with educational, developmental, and health service providers to promote healthy, safe, and school-ready keiki.

The event offered activities like vision, dental, and hearing screenings while parents learned about car seat safety, financial aid services, early childhood programs, and a wealth of other information. More than 600 mākua, kūpuna, staff, and volunteers also gathered for this fun, educational festival.

The event’s planning committee would like to thank the community for making the choice to attend and participate in this year’s event. We hope that you have been inspired to be engaged in all aspects of your keiki’s development and that you continue to engage them in educational activities to support their growth as tomorrow’s leaders.

For more information about next year’s event, please contact Ka Wahi Kaiaulu-Wai‘anae Neighborhood Place at 696-4598.
