Students’ Day at the World Conservation Congress

September 7, 2016

Haumāna from all three Kamehameha Campuses joined with 1000 other students from across the state at the Students' Day at the World Conservation Congress on O'ahu.

Haumāna visited different pavilions where they heard speakers address such topics as Species conservation, Business and Biodiversity, Oceans, and Water. After hearing speakers on different topics they used the Design Thinking process to work on action projects that addressed some of the concerns they had about our environment.

The Hawai'i Youth Challenge 2020 is a yearlong commitment for participants across the state to plan and implement their ideas into practice in their schools and communities.
