Solar farm dedication on Kamehameha Schools’ lands in Waiawa

ʻĀina sustainability took another important step forward on Feb. 17, 2023. That’s when Kamehameha Schools joined Clearway Energy Group, Hawaiian Electric and other partners in celebrating the official dedication of Clearway’s new 36-megawatt solar farm located on ʻĀina Pauahi in Waiawa. The facility which includes 144-megawatt hours of battery storage is now generating enough clean electricity to power more than 7,600 homes annually!
