Nearly 50 Kawaiahaʻo Plaza staffers learned the life-saving skill of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at a recent “Sidewalk CPR” event in Kakaʻako. The event was orchestrated by the American Heart Association, hosted by Kamehameha Schools’ Our Kakaʻako, and supported by KS’ Health and Wellness Program.
Staffers walked to and from the Cooke Street warehouse where the CPR training took place. The two-minute training sessions taught attendees the basics of hands-only CPR. The event also featured heart-healthy activities, Lanikai Juice samples, entertainment, prizes and giveaways.
KS photographer Michael Young captured the highlights of the heart-smart event. If you were unable to attend the sessions, visit the American Heart Association website to learn about hands-only CPR and overall heart health.
