Over 1000 KS Kapālama haumāna and kumu proudly chanted and waved hae Hawaiʻi as they marched through the streets of Honolulu for the annual ʻOnipaʻa Peace March. The 1.7-mile journey started at Maunaʻala and ended at ʻIolani Palace. Haumāna chanted phrases like: “Kū I ka pono”, “kūʻē I ka hewa”, and “kū haʻaheo” as they made their journey down Nuʻuanu Avenue and Beretania Street.

Onlookers in cars honked, and bystanders cheered as the large procession made its way through the streets of Honolulu.

Spirits remained high and the enthusiasm never waned despite the warm temperatures, and high humidity during the march.
