Producing a TV commercial is a kākou effort. KS’ Kamehameha Publishing Division recently teamed up with Kamehameha’s Advertising Department to produce TV spots promoting the books “Native Hawaiian Law: A Treatise” and “Hānau ka Ua: Hawaiian Rain Names.”
Local ad agency MVNP was hired to shoot the promotional pieces on location in Kāneʻohe and Nuʻuanu. KS alumni served as acting talent for the video vignettes that told stories of how KS books become integral parts of contemporary Hawaiian lives.
KS photographer Michael Young tagged along and captured these behind-the-scenes photos.
