On January 31, The Plaza Assisted Living (The Plaza) held a traditional Hawaiian blessing and groundbreaking ceremony for one of its newest kūpuna community being built in Kāneʻohe. The Plaza is leasing the 70,000-square-foot site from Kamehameha Schools. Construction is scheduled to begin on Feb. 1 and the project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2019.
