Maui Police Department presence was seen and felt on campus during a practice lockdown drill which took place on Feb. 24. In the scenrio the shooter made his way from the high school office to Paki/Konia where "shots" were heard.
After the drill the students who were in classrooms in Paki/Konia had a debrief in Keōpūolani Hale to go over what happened, how the students and teachers responded, and to answer any questions.
Kamehameha Schools’ policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
