Kamehameha Schools Maui parents were given the opportunity to see what their keiki have been learning over the first month of the school year at campus-wide open houses. The kula haʻahaʻa (elementary school), kula waena (middle school) and kula kiʻekiʻe (high school) opened their doors to parents in August.
The kula waena had its open house on August 18, with many parents braving the rain to make their way to the Pukalani campus. The kula haʻahaʻa had massive crowds show up for its August 20 open house, aided by a challenge from Interim Poʻo Kula (Head of School) Kaleo Pahukula on twitter that involved a change in the dinner menu. The kula kiʻekiʻe then had its open house to round out the campus events campus on August 25.
