Kamehameha Schools Kaumankani Preschool and KS Kapālama Elementary School keiki had hands-on lessons in aloha ‘āina recently when they practiced huki kalo – pulling taro – on their campuses. Muddy hands and feet made for a deeper understanding of their native culture.
Kamehameha Schools’ policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
