KS Kapālama Thanksgiving Assembly

November 30, 2018

Kamehameha Schools Kapālama High School haumāna, faculty members and administrators gathered at Kekūhaupiʻo Gym during this season of giving for the school’s annual Lā Pule Hoʻomana – Thanksgiving Assembly. This year’s theme was “Restoration of God’s People.” Messages focused on how our aliʻi relied on their wisdom through their Christian faith at all times, especially during times of adversity. The event also told the story of Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea – Hawaiian Independence Day, Nov. 28. It was on this day in 1843 that the Hawaiian Kingdom was formally recognized as an independent nation by Britain and France.
