The Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi ʻohana chose TV’s “Survivor” as the theme for its 2013 service awards ceremony, but their goal was to keep staffers in the tribe rather than voting them off the island!
KSH high school vice principal Phil Aganus emceed the event clad in shipwreck attire, and shared a short story about each KSH service award “survivor” as they were honored on stage.
KSH Middle School technology teacher Kerry Kamisato, a 25-year service award honoree, captured the following highlights of the event. For the whole story on the KSH Service Awards, see the KSOnline write-up, "KS Hawaiʻi celebrates service awards Survivor style."
