This September, haumāna from KS Hawaiʻi had a chance to collaborate with artist and alum Aaron Kai KSH’07 in painting a mural at the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Visitor’s Center in Keaʻau. Kai shared some invaluable ʻike about what it takes to plan and execute a large-scale mural and to be a successful artist. Haumāna walked away with a sense of accomplishment and a better understanding of the hard work involved in painting a mural.
