KP Founder's Day 2013

January 2, 2014

More than 300 Kawaiahaʻo Plaza staffers celebrated Founder’s Day, December 19, at Kawaiahaʻo Church in the sanctuary where Princess Pauahi once worshiped. The program honored the theme "Ka Wewehi o Kaiona – The Adornment of Kaiona." Kaiona was a goddess of Kaʻala – a mountain in the Waiʻanae ahupuaʻa. The Princess is likened to the benevolent goddess Kaiona because of her generous and gracious ways.

KS photographer Larry Racoma captured the special day in the photos below. If your division or campus has pics to share, please send them along with background information and captions to KS photographer Michael Young at miyoung@ksbe.edu.
