KS Kapālama Elementary Kite Flying

March 30, 2015

Breezy days mean kite flying season is here! Kapālama campus first grade students and their families learned how to make their own kites in a workshop held in the school cafeteria. Students decorated their kites with colorful drawings which made each kite a unique piece of flying art.

Upon finishing their pieces they were off to Malalo Field to launch their kites into the air. This simple, low-tech toy produced much joy on a day that will be long remembered.
