King Kamehameha Floral Parade

June 12, 2013

The Kamehameha Schools contingent was over 200 people strong at the King Kamehameha Floral Parade on Saturday, June 8. The 97th annual parade started at ‘Iolani Palace, wound its way through Waikīkī and ended at Kapi‘olani Park.

The event honored senators Daniel K. Inouye and Daniel K. Akaka. Senator Akaka, a 1942 KS graduate, rode with the Kamehameha contingent along with a trolley full of staffers, alumni and their families. The illustrious KS Warrior Marching Band and Color Guard anchored the KS group and kept their spirits soaring.

KS photographer Shaun Chillingworth snapped the following shots of the colorful event.

If your division or campus has pics to share, please send them along with background information and captions to Michael Young at miyoung@ksbe.edu.
