Over sixty post-high students shared their summer internship experiences in the Kapili 'Oihana program at a celebration held at Keehi Lagoon's Weinberg Hall. This KS post-high program matches students with work sites to help them get experience in a real -work setting.
KOIP placed 85 interns with work sites across the state in fields ranging from farm management to computer science to nursing and many more. KOIP believes that post-high education is not enough to be competitive in today's job market. Serving an internship helps to develop the necessary skills sought after by employers.
