The Kamehameha Schools Career and Post-High Counseling and Guidance Department celebrated another successful summer of internships for its Kāpili ʻOihana program with a recent hōʻike at the Koʻolau ballrooms in Kane‘ohe.
Presenting the experiences they had, 76 of the interns were at the hōʻike representing 48 internship sites in eight regions on three different islands. With nearly 200 people in attendance, KS CEO Jack Wong spoke on the importance of the program. Along with Wong, KS was also represented by Kuamahi Community Education Managing Director Waiʻaleʻale Sarsona, Director of Kealakūlia Kēhaulani Puʻu, Director of Career and Post-High Counseling Carrie Larger and Director of Hawaiian Culture-Based Education Kaimana Barcarse.
