Ka Pua Community Celebrations

October 25, 2013

Kamehameha Schools’ Ka Pua Initiative recently hosted two Wai‘anae Coast community forums in October. The forums were an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of many Wai‘anae Coast community organizations that have made a difference for our keiki and families.

Hundreds of residents and supporters turned out to learn more about these wonderful success stories and get an update on Ka Pua. It was a valuable and important time spent building ambassadors in the community who can now share more about the positive things happening on the Coast.

Ka Pua is a long-term initiative which seeks to increase the intergenerational impact of Pauahi's legacy on children, families and communities on the Wai‘anae Coast. Read how Ka Pua staffers are cultivating kūpuna connections in the KSOnline story. To learn more about the Ka Pua Initiative, the upcoming Kamehameha Community Learning Center, and preschool resources for area residents visit the Kapua  Facebook page  and website.

If your division or campus has pics to share, please send them along with background information and captions to miyoung@ksbe.edu.
