The enthusiasm was palpable inside the Neal S. Blaisdell Center on March 10, as haumāna raised their voices as one in the 103rd annual Song Contest. This photo gallery captures highlights from the night which saw Papa 11 take four out of the seven awards. All haumāna really leaned into this year’s theme: Nā Mele Paniolo: Songs of the Hawaiian Cowboy. The paniolo theme also continued through the hōʻike portion of the program which dazzled with colorful lole, beautiful mele and hula. There were even lassos…YEE-HAW!
