Juniors win homecoming

September 23, 2016

Homecoming 2016 culminated with the first school wide Color Run in the state. The high school students went to class for part of the day, participated in an evacuation drill to the stadium, then participated in a day full of events that began with the Color Run. Four color stations were set up and teacher tossed pink, green, purple and red powder as the students ran by. The Run ended in the practice field and the students enjoyed music, yard games, had lunch and were entertained by KSM alumni from various years.

But the day wasn't over yet. The third annual Carnival was held and had a great turnout. There were more games, club participation and prized for the larger crowd.

Of course all the classes were anxious to find out who won homecoming after the parade at half time against King Kekaulike. The seniors took first for kickball,  juniors took first for float and banner, and sophomores for dressup. Overall the juniors came in first place, sophomores and freshman tied for second and the seniors came in third.
