ETS Community Service Projects

December 19, 2014

Kamehameha Schools Education Technology Services staffers recently fanned out into the community to perform service projects ranging from reading with keiki to invasive species removal! The techies took on the challenge in six teams focusing on: social services, the arts, education, conservation, health and tourism.

Each year, the department dedicates two days to strengthen relationships, serve the community, and expand the group’s ʻike (knowledge). Their mantra is “212.” At 211 degrees water is hot, but at 212 it boils and creates steam. The ETS staffers believe that if they give an extra degree of effort in all that they do they will help Pauahi’s noble mission move forward.

The 36-member ETS team is part of the Information Technology Division. Their kuleana is to serve the IT and instructional needs of KS’ three campuses, community programs and support services, including the Financial Aid and Scholarship Services Division, Hoʻoulu Hawaiian Data Center, and Admissions.

Mahalo to the IT ETS staffers who captured the project’s moments in the photos below.
