More than 100 Waiʻanae Coast keiki and their ‘ohana attended Discover Preschool and Kindergarten Day at Kamehameha Schools’ Community Learning Center at Māʻili.
The Jan. 7 event was designed to engage the community for a thriving lāhui and connected families with the resources to make preschool affordable and accessible. Parents and caregivers received one-on-one help with filling out applications and had the opportunity to attend financial aid workshops. Nineteen early learning programs on the Wai‘anae Coast took part in the fourth annual event.

Kamehameha Schools’ policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
