Behind the scenes: 101st Annual Song Contest

In a move to reclaim some of what has been lost this year due to pandemic restrictions, the students of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama will proudly present mele aloha ʻāina that capture the stories of our lāhui today so they can be sung 100 years from now. Layering hundreds of bass, baritone, tenor, alto and soprano voices, the voices of KSK haumāna will be showcased in an unprecedented virtual choir performance. Check out behind-the-scenes photos of the production, which was shot at various locations around the Kapālama campus. Tune in Friday, May 7 for I Mau Ke Aloha ‘Āina - 101 Years of Song Contest. The pre-show broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a live broadcast at 7:30 p.m. Viewing links will be made available at www.ksbe.edu/songcontest/2021/  .
