Dr. Brandy Nālani McDougall, assistant professor of Indigenous Studies at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and author of "The Salt-Wind: Ka Makani Pa‘akai," visited sophomores at KS Maui on Friday, March 15, to share her writing experiences. All the sophomores at KS Maui have been studying McDougall’s work this semester and are currently working on a collaborative project with students from KS Kapālama. McDougall is a Maui native. Also, earlier this month, the KS Maui Japanese Club showed off its winning Mikoshi design at the Honolulu Festival parade. Pictures from the parade were provided by teacher Jared Mateaki.
If your division or campus has pics to share, please send them along with background information and captions to miyoung@ksbe.edu.
