It’s the holiday season and the KS Kapālama ʻohana observed Veterans Day and Thanksgiving in meaningful ways.
KS alumni veterans were invited to a lunch reception hosted by poʻo kula (head of school) Earl Kim and then were honored at a high school assembly held in Kekūhaupiʻo Gym.
Thanksgiving was observed as a time for prayer and giving thanks to God at a middle and high school assembly held once more at Kekūhaupiʻo Gym. Guest speakers prayed for guidance for our students, men, women and community leaders as we go through our daily lives.
