Food, fun and fabulous entertainment were served up last weekend at the 84th annual Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Hoʻolauleʻa. Thousands attended the event which featured student performances students, local-style food prepared by KSK parents, and thrilling rides and games.
Money raised by the Hoʻolauleʻa (celebration) goes to fund student enrichment grants which include travel, workshops, and bringing in expert instructors. The final figures aren’t in yet for this year but in the past the event’s average profit has been $100,000.
KS photographer Michael Young captured highlights of the Hoʻolauleʻa in the following photos. If your division or campus has pics to share, please send them along with background information and captions to ksonline@ksbe.edu.
