Kapālama campus freshmen recently enjoyed a mini Hawaiian festival on the lawn outside their classrooms. Cultural specialists brought their knowledge and skills to share as students learned about ancient Hawaiian beliefs and practices, and how to pound kalo.
Lower on the campus, middle school boarders moved across the street to their new homes in two new dormitory buildings – Nae‘ole Hale and Kaha‘ōpūlani Hale.
KS photographer Michael Young captured the Hawaiian festival, and paid an after school visit to the dorms to see how the boarders are adjusting to the change.
If your division or campus has pics to share, please send them along with background information and captions to Michael Young at miyoung@ksbe.edu.
