KS Kapālama eighth graders toured Kamehameha properties in Kakaʻako recently to learn about the coming changes to the neighborhood. Guided by KS senior asset manager Christian O'Connor, students were updated on new development plans and heard stories from business people already working in the area.
One of the students' biggest take-aways was an appreciation for Kakaʻako tenants - hard working people whose lease rents help fund KS' educational mission.
KS photographer Michael Young tagged along on the huakaʻi to capture the highlights of their tour. If your division or campus has pics to share, please send them along with background information and captions to ksonline@ksbe.edu.
