2015 Pow Wow Hawaiʻi

February 20, 2015

Urban artists recently converged in Kakaʻako for the 2015 POW WOW HAWAIʻI festival. Kamehameha Schools provides the canvas for the large-scale art pieces by allowing artists to express themselves on walls throughout the neighborhood. The event brings art and music to Kakaʻako, which is transitioning from a dull warehouse district to a lively place where people can live, work play and appreciate the outdoor art.

KS photographer Michael Young captured some of the highlights of the fest which happened from February 7 through 14.
