Kamehameha Schools alumni rallied to fight cancer by participating in the annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life held recently at KS Kapālama’s Konia Field. The event is one of many held across the globe that bring communities together to honor cancer survivors, remember lost loved ones, and battle a disease that has claimed too many lives.
Relay For Life teams made up of KS alumni classes camped out overnight and took turns walking around Konia Circle from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Funds for the American Cancer Society were raised through pledges and sales of donated items. Entertainment and activities kept the participants in high spirits as they did their part in the fight against cancer.
KS photographer Michael Young was on hand to capture some of the highlights of the event.
