The KS Maui employee ‘ohana celebrated the dedicated service of 52 faculty and staff members at a recent service awards ceremony at Keōpūlani Hale. More than 250 campus staffers attended the July 30 celebration – a far cry from the 11 employees the school had when it first opened in 1996.
The annual theme for the event is Ka ‘Umeke Na‘auao ‘o Pai‘ea - Pai‘ea's Calabash of Wisdom. Pai‘ea is the birth name of Kamehameha the Great. The campus is envisioned as a calabash full of the knowledge and wisdom of its employee ‘ohana. Ho‘omaika‘i – congratulations to this year’s award recipients!
