Windward Mall Will Welcome Target to the Center

Windward Mall is pleased to announce that Target will be the new anchor tenant located in the space formerly occupied by Sears, which closed in 2019. The planned two-level store will be approximately 128,000 square feet following a renovation to the space at Windward Mall.

“We are excited to welcome Target to Kāne‘ohe and to bring new offerings to our community,” said Cesar Topacio, vice president senior general manager of Windward Mall. “Target has been greatly anticipated within our Kāne‘ohe community, and we are eager to get started on the building renovation.”

Windward Mall is committed to creating safe, family-friendly, community-serving retail experiences.

“As land stewards within the He‘eia ahapua‘a, we have worked to make Windward Mall a vibrant gathering space, and integral part of this community. For the last 40 years, the center has been serving our families, residents, and visitors with variety, convenience, and value,” said Haunani Fujimoto, Kamehameha Schools commercial real estate director of leasing. “The addition of Target to the mall is in response to local shoppers who expressed the need for a national retailer nearby that offers quality household essentials.”
