In collaboration with Plenty of Aloha, Windward Mall is pleased to host the first Garlic and Ginger festival, a celebration of the aromatic plants that we love in our cooking. Both garlic and ginger not only taste wonderful, they each possess natural health benefits when consumed.
WHAT: Windward Mall Farmers Market & Plenty of Aloha’s Garlic and Ginger Festival
WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE: Windward Mall parking lot near Haʻikū Road and Kamehameha Highway
On Sunday, farmers market vendors in Windward Mall’s Center Court will provide their usual offerings, but will also feature special garlic and/or ginger items as well. The market is expanding to the parking lot near Haʻikū Road and Kamehameha Highway. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., special vendors will pop up with their specialty garlic and/or ginger items. These include: Gingah Spread Man (ginger chicken sauce in a bottle); JMR Food Concepts; The Corner Rolls specialty spring rolls; Asian Flavors; Blue Truck Teppanyaki; Local Poke Bowl; Nosh (Brazilian cheese bread) and more. During the Garlic and Ginger Festival, Pono Kaeo will perform live local music.

The Windward Mall Farmers Market takes place every Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. and every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market features all local farmers and vendors, including fruits vegetables, baked goods, Hawaiian food, honey, poke, dips, dressings, jams, butters, plate lunches and more.
