Windward Mall is excited to welcome keiki to meet and take photos with evil villains from Storybook Hawai‘i at the Wicked Fun for Everyone event on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m.! Keiki are invited to dress up in costume, wear a face mask and bring a camera for a wicked fun time. Once registered for a specific timeslot, the whole ‘ohana can meet characters throughout the first and second floor of Windward Mall. Each evil villain will have their own platform, including floor decals to allow for social distancing during photo opportunities. Characters will wear a face mask or clear face shield, use hand sanitizer and maintain social distancing at all times.

“Windward Mall is thrilled to celebrate Halloween with our Kāne‘ohe community, and so grateful to collaborate with Storybook Hawai‘i to produce a safe and fun event for the keiki,” said Cesar Topacio, vice-president senior general manager of Windward Mall.
Families can register for one check-in timeslot ticket to meet and take photos with six villainous characters from Storybook Hawai‘i. One ticket will allow one household (up to six people) to check-in at the table in Center Court. Keiki (12 years old and under) who come dressed in costume will receive a free goodie bag of treats, while supplies last. A map of the characters will be provided to families at the time of check-in.
“Kamehameha Schools is committed to supporting our commercial tenants as our local economy continues to recover,” said Gary Evora, Kamehameha Schools commercial real estate senior asset manager. “The team at Windward Mall is doing an excellent job at providing fun, safe and smaller scale events like this to encourage our community and families to come out and explore the unique shops and restaurants located at this center.”
The health and safety of Windward Mall’s customers, employees, and community remain a top priority. All visitors who plan to dress up in Halloween costumes are still required to wear CDC-recommended face coverings, avoid entering businesses if they have a cough or fever or otherwise do not feel well, maintain a six-foot distance from one another, and not shake hands or engage in unnecessary physical contact. There will be no trick-or-treating throughout Windward Mall on Sunday, Oct. 31.
