Windward Mall Hosts Gingerbread ‘Ohana Fest & Laulima Giving Program this Saturday, Dec. 3

Windward Mall is pleased to host the Gingerbread ‘Ohana Fest & Laulima Giving Program this Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Gingerbread ‘Ohana Fest is a community fundraiser event for the Laulima Giving Program, helping provide a brighter Christmas to struggling and deserving families. The community is invited to bring a monetary donation or a new, unwrapped gift and receive an entry ticket for a walkthrough in the Keiki O Ka ‘Āina Winter Wonderland. Participants will also receive a gingerbread house kit to take home and enjoy as a family-fun activity. The kit includes a 4.5” x 5” x 5.75” pre-fabricated gingerbread house, icing, and candies. Kits are limited, so reservations are encouraged.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, the community is invited to enjoy live entertainment all day long and take holiday photos with the Gingerbread Man from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be a haumāna and kūpuna gingerbread warrior challenge taking place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the awards announced at 1 p.m. Contest teams will consist of two kūpuna paired with four high school students who will collectively create their gingerbread winning entry within two hours. The winning kūpuna team will receive a cash prize and grocery gift cards. Kūpuna age divisions are 60-69, 70-79, and 80+ years young.

This weekend, the community can get ahead on holiday family photos. All weekend long, Santa is available for photos at his Windward Wonderland in Center Court! Santa photo set hours are as follows:

Fridays (Dec. 2, 9, 16 & 23) and Saturdays (Nov. 26 and Dec. 3, 10, 17 & 24): 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Sundays (Dec. 4, 11 & 18): 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesdays (Dec. 7, 14 & 21): 2 to 6 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 22: 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
