SAFELY TRICK-OR-TREAT AT SALT AT OUR KAKA‘AKO ON HALLOWEEN

Keiki, pets and their humans can jump into their costumes for a fun and safe trick-or-treat experience at SALT at Our Kaka‘ako. Dress up and get candy and treats from participating SALT tenants on Halloween, Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Look for the trick-or-treat signs in front of businesses. The center asks that participants continue to social distance during this spooktacular activity to keep everyone safe.

For more fa-boo-lous fun, SALT is also holding a Halloween costume contest for keiki and pets visiting the center. Contestants can take a picture in costume at their favorite SALT merchant or in The Barn, post it on Instagram and tag @saltourkakaako. Winners will be selected based on creativity and overall costume. Contestants can enter now to October 31 at 11:59 p.m. HST. One winner from each category (keiki, pets) will receive a prize valued at $100 from participating SALT merchants. Winners will be announced on Instagram Stories on Monday, November 1, 2021. Entrants must be a Hawaiʻi resident to win and able to pick up their prize at SALT.

On Halloween and throughout the month, guests can also explore the shops, restaurants and the unique murals that have made SALT at Our Kaka‘ako urban Honolulu’s premier retail destination. Located in the heart of the Arts District of Our Kaka‘ako, SALT is home to more than 40 shops, restaurants and service providers, many locally owned. Customers can find everything from Hawaiian, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino and Japanese cuisine, as well as captivating street art, vinyl records, film photography, locally grown chocolate, a butcher and deli, vintage clothing, surf and urban fashions and more.

SALT follows safety and social distancing guidelines. Guests are required to wear face masks when entering merchant locations. Visitors to the center are asked to stay home if they are sick, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
