Kaka‘ako’s Keauhou Lane Celebrates its Grand Opening

September 19, 2017

Gerding Edlen, a national leader in sustainable development and real estate investment, and Kamehameha Schools recently gathered in Our Kakaʻako to celebrate the grand opening of Keauhou Lane, a new mixed-use development project on KS land.

Located on Keawe Street, Keauhou Lane includes 209 residential units, approximately 32,300 square feet of restaurant and retail space, and 280 parking stalls. Featured retailers include local organic food store Down to Earth and boutique fitness studio Sweat + Soul.

All the rental apartments at Keauhou Lane are air-conditioned and feature modern finishes such as quartz countertops; Energy Star-rated, stainless steel appliances; and high-efficiency LED lighting. Amenities include an indoor lounge, two outdoor decks with grills, a bike room with parking and a bike maintenance station, a fully-equipped laundry room, and parking. Keauhou Lane is also pet friendly. Keauhou Lane is pursuing LEED for Homes Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and is designed to operate 17 percent more efficiently than a comparable building.

KS Managing Director of Commercial Real Estate Walter Thoemmes said, “Keauhou Lane adds to the diversity and vibrancy of Our Kaka‘ako and helps fill the void of affordable rentals in urban Honolulu.”
