Holomoana: Wa‘a Learning Resources

Holomoana Site

A Native Hawaiian Place of Learning for Voyagers of the World

Kumu Resources

Want to use the virtual voyage as part of your curriculum?

Moananuiākea, the vast Pacific universe, was first explored and settled by our kūpuna, our ancestors, who were among the greatest navigators on earth. Holomoana is dedicated to the perpetuation of their voyaging legacy. KS Kaiāulu invites you to explore Holomoana for you own personal and education use. As you venture through the site, you will discover rich resources, including Ho‘okele (sail plan), Mo‘okū‘auhau (lineage), Hālau Wa‘a (crew training) and Mo‘omanao (log book). Check back often as we will be adding content to the site to accompany the upcoming voyages of Hōkūle‘a.
