Cathy Gee H. Kong

Senior Transaction Coordinator

Cathy Kong provides logistical and advisory support to CRED through all stages of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and ground leases. Her duties include managing negotiations and contract documentation, conducting due diligence, review of financial qualitative analysis, and drafting supporting documents to facilitate approval process.

Prior to joining KS in February, 2020, Cathy served as a real estate advisor with Colliers International in Honolulu. As part of the Retail Services Division, she specialized in Landlord representation for shopping centers, maintaining a portfolio of over 2 million square feet. She also represented many notable local companies, assisting with their expansion plans and acquisition of real estate to complement their portfolios. In 2017 and 2018, she was recognized as Outstanding Performer.

Upon graduating from the William S. Richardson School of Law, she served as a law clerk with the retired Honorable Chief Justice Ronald T.Y. Moon of the Hawaii Supreme Court. Her work history also includes time at Honolulu-based law firms, MacDonald Rudy Byrns O’Neill & Yamauchi and Rush Moore.

She is an active member of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association and is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Hawai‘i.

She met her husband while both attended the University of California, Davis.  Her husband is an active member of the US Navy, allowing the opportunity to travel and live in different states and countries.
