Kamehameha Schools was founded by the will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the great-granddaughter of Kamehameha the Great.
Estimated to be completed by spring 2020, Kamehameha Schools’ Kū‘ono Marketplace at Kāhala is a new 40,000-square-foot retail and dining center along Waialae Avenue across from Kāhala Mall.

What was once a 3.8-acre collection of small neighborhood shops and a gas station will be transformed in a community marketplace with various restaurants, inline retail space and offices. Foodland and a Hawai‘i Pacific Health clinic will be the “anchor tenants” of the new marketplace.
